3.2 MODELLING
Figure 3.2-1: WIP — Head, Week 13 (17/12/24) |
For this project, I'm using Proportional Editing to sculpt the model, starting from the head then moving to the body and ears. To keep the model symmetrical, I applied the Mirror modifier to reflect from left to right.
Figure 3.2-2: WIP — Torso, Week 13 (18/12/24) |
To create the torso, I extruded and scaled a cylinder until I had the desired shape. I turned off Proportional Editing for this part. The arms and legs were made by bridging edge loops to the holes in the torso (Figure 3.2-2), then extruding and scaling to shape.

Figure 3.2-3: 3D Model — Without Colour or Texture, Week 13 (19/12/24) |
I wasn't fond of the original expression from the model sheet, so I changed the smirk to a classic "W" mouth.

3.4 LIGHTING & COMPOSITION
3.5 FINAL SUBMISSION
4.0 REFLECTION
Surprisingly, this took less time than I expected. Now that I'm familiar with the Blender interface, I can actually enjoy 3D modelling. I had a great time painting and sculpting this rabbit-cat. 9/10.💫
