  2. Design Execution & Development:
    1. Showcase the final design/concept art (character model sheets, character poses and expressions, environment design, storyboards, animatics, etc.).
    2. Provide visual evidence (e.g. mood boards, wireframes, breakdowns, animation previews).

4.0 REFLECTION

At the start of the semester, we were advised to drop the module if we hadn't completed at least two modules from our chosen specialisation. I had presumed that, as a group of majority animation students, we would do a primarily animation-based project.

I hadn't expected us to end up doing game design, a field we aren't even vaguely familiar with, in a medium many of our instructors are unfamiliar with (VR). As a group, I think we've done a decent job considering our inexperience at the topic, but given the choice, I would not have chosen 3D game design or VR.

My group mates are ambitious and passionate people, which I appreciate. However, combined with the tendency to strongarm conversations and the three of them being friends, they do not make the most considerate group mates. I think, at our core, we are very different people and our personalities simply do not match. This isn't an attack on their character; it is simply an incompatibility issue.

We had a heart-to-heart about this, and while we were able to talk through our differences and frustrations, I really hope these issues won't persist into MPII.
